189 Rawlinson Street
Barrow in Furness
My name is Lauren Rawlinson. I qualified in beauty therapy in 2002, wining both the mantagold trophy and bronze mantagold trophy for maintaining high achievements and most promising beauty therapist student. Since qualifying 12 years ago I have worked with some of the most prestigious products and attended regular training to the highest standard.
In 2006 I gained my teaching qualification and taught at Lancaster and Morcambe college before opening Sanctuaire 189 in April 2007. In January 2007 I spent 2 weeks in London to gain our Guinot skincare salon status and am pleased now to specialise in this.
Since then the salon has gone from strength to strength, welcoming Carly Mcmurtha in 2012 and Jenna Lacey in 2013 to make up our team.
I am passionate about my job and about Sanctuaire 189, I feel we have succeeded in everything we set out to achieve from our relaxing environment, fantastic service, calming atmosphere and excellent team.
My name is Carly McMurtha, I have been qualified in Beauty Therapy since 2006, this was when I very first started working with Lauren at The Health and Beauty Clinic. During the last 8 years I have done various training with some of the best skin brands and training schools in the country.
In 2009 I trained with Nouveau Beauty Group in semi-permanent eyelash extensions. I offer a full set of eyelash extensions and express lashes.
- Since 2010 I have been providing the HD Brows treatment, the ultimate in eyebrow shaping, this has become a very popular treatment. The HD Brows training also included threading which I do offer as a separate treatment
- I joined Sanctuaire 189 in 2012, shortly after I trained in Guinot products and facials including the Hydradermie plus and Hydradermie lift.
- In January this year, the girls and I trained with Crystal Clear to be able to provide microdermabrasion treatments.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and the girls I work with make it even better. In September 2013 I started the ‘Cert Ed’ course at Furness College to be able to teach Beauty Therapy, this is something I intend to do alongside working in the salon.
